Fifty scratch-off cards in a deck. That is what the Rhode Island page promises, and the state listings shown in the collection are titled 50 State Adventures. Fifty cards is a big stack, so pick the deck first. Reach International Outfitters sorts its decks by state, city, hiking, family, relaxed pace, national parks and kindness, and groups the state decks into five regions. This list walks through those choices before anyone starts scratching. It covers what the product pages show, not the cards themselves, and it leaves out prices and bundle deals.
Why these items are on the list
- Pick your home state deck. The collection lists state decks from Alabama to Wyoming, so start close to home.
- Narrow the collection by region. The collection filter lists Northeast (12), Southeast (13), Southwest (6), West (10) and Midwest (13).
- Start with Southeast or Midwest. Both show 13 in the filter, the biggest counts of any region, so plenty to browse.
- Try a Southwest state. The Southwest filter shows a count of 6, the smallest of the five regions.
- Pick a city deck. Boston, Chicago, Nashville, New Orleans and Miami all get their own.
- Choose a hiking deck. Hiking decks are listed for Arizona, California, Colorado and Michigan, among others.
- Choose a family deck. Family versions are listed for Colorado, Minnesota and North Carolina.
- Choose a relaxed-pace deck. Minnesota and North Carolina each have a Leisurely version for slower trips.
- Try the national parks deck. The bundle list on the Rhode Island page includes a U.S. National Parks deck.
- Try the acts of kindness deck. Kindness gets its own deck, with no place attached.
- Choose a province deck. British Columbia is listed as a province deck next to the state and city ones.
- Add more New England state decks. Rhode Island's bundle list also shows Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
- Consider a deck as a gift. The Rhode Island page calls it a perfect gift, and the collection offers a scheduled gift message.
Keep your shortlist on your phone and share it with whoever's coming along, so the deck gets picked once. The scratching stays off-screen, which is where it belongs.
When to use it
Useful when you're shopping for a gift or planning a year of local trips and haven't picked a deck yet.
