Lead time picks the dinner. The Pyper's Kitchen lists cheesy chili eggs at 10 minutes, Cabot's sheet pan frittata gets dinner on the table in 20 minutes, and Cabot's sausage strata bakes roughly an hour. When you're in a hurry, Cabot's breakfast burritos can be frozen ahead and used later. Big Delicious Life notes that brinner often takes less time than a regular dinner. When nothing else fits, Amusing Foodie calls eggs, bacon and toast a quick home run. This list sticks to savory and sweet dishes from the sources and leaves out full recipes and measurements.

Keep the list on your phone while you check the fridge and tick off what you've already tried, so the next brinner night doesn't start from scratch. Hand the phone to a kid and let them pick.
